Wizarding World of Harry Potter

In February 2017, a friend and I went to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, FL. This is off-off-peak season and we were able to get a 6-day, 5-night package including hotel, two breakfasts (Three Broomsticks and Leaky Cauldron), photo package, all-day two-park passes (Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley), round-trip non-stop flight and travel to and from the airport for about $1100 each. We had a blast! Here’s what our trip looked like!

We stayed in the Cabana Bay hotel, their lovely sign turned on just after we arrived.

The hotel is decorated in retro-50’s style and is brightly colored and fun! Here is the lobby with a lounge to watch TV.¬† Love the carpet!

The halls maintain the charming decor as well.

And out the window at the water park. We were on the second floor.

We settled in, unpacked and then went for dinner at the hotel cafeteria. There are two huge screens, shown below, that looped through old 50’s commercial. They even had one with Gumby and Pokey! Black and white of course!

The next morning we took a shot of the bed and bedroom with better light, showing all that lovely teal and orange.
